Thanks for Joining Us in the Bellevue Parade!

Thank you to the Hillcrest and Innovate team members who joined us on Saturday, August 21 for the Arrows to Aerospace Parade in Olde Towne Bellevue! What a beautiful day! It was great seeing everyone and being able to spend some time out in our Bellevue community. After the parade, team members came back to enjoy Swine Dining BBQ, drinks, music and yard games outside of the Hillcrest Home & Community Services Education Center.

Team members pass out Hillcrest bags and candy to parade watchers.

The IPT team holds their banner and waves at parade attendees. They also passed out stress balls.

Team members enjoy BBQ and drinks outside of the HHS Home Office.

Check the Hillcrest Health Services Facebook page for more parade photos.

Hillcrest Home & Community Services
Listening Tour

Hillcrest Home & Community Services hosted several members of the Nebraska Home Health and Hospice Association for a statewide listening tour. Congressman Don Bacon joined the group to discuss the growing need of home health delivery and support services in the State of Nebraska. Congressman Bacon spoke of his own personal experience caring for a loved one and supports the association’s efforts in providing critical support services to seniors living at home. He is currently a co-sponsor of the Essential Caregivers Act and supports other legislation to keep seniors living safely in whatever place they call home.

Listening Tour guests take a group photo in the HCS Education Center.

Hillcrest Firethorn
HFT Gives

The HFT Fun Committee, led by Shirley Smith, Dietitian, completed the F Street Recreation Center Back to School Project. This was part of a Thrivent project, which provided a $250 gift card to buy supplies for the F Street Rec Center. We asked Firethorn team members to donate supplies as well and ended with a sizable donation for the children at F Street. Guests were also able to participate by donating their school supplies won during bingo. A huge thank you to Shirley for coordinating these events. We couldn’t do them without her!

Through a Thrivent project and team member donations, children at F Street Recreation Center received a lot of supplies as they head back to school.

Sharyl Ronan

Dear Team Members,

August is here, and it is hard to believe fall is just a month away with all the hot weather we have been having. I love the fall! It has always signaled that we are getting ready for the harvest, and that is a great thing for the Midwest.

I know this fall things started to look a little bit better than last year in regards to the pandemic. With vaccinations readily available, some fall events like county fairs are back to normal. At Hillcrest, we are also trying to increase activities for our residents, guests and elders.

Even with the favorable changes, we cannot let our guard down quite yet. The Delta variant has emerged and is beginning to increase the spread through non-vaccinated team members. We continue to strongly encourage everyone to get vaccinated if you haven’t been.

As an organization I am proud to report that Hillcrest has been determined to make a difference in the lives of those we serve! We have done an excellent job screening, testing and following our guidelines for enhanced infection control processes in each service line. We have worked hard to ensure that our customers feel appreciated and loved. We are working long hours to ensure our mission is fulfilled to “enhance the lives of aging adults”…in spite of COVID-19!

I appreciate all of our team members and how hard they are working! Helping others and making a difference is what will help to make the world and Hillcrest a better place by improving people’s lives. One person at a time, one day at a time and one project at a time, you can make a difference that will leave a lasting impact for our seniors! Robert Collier stated, “Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day-in and day-out!” If we stay focused and dedicated on our mission, we will always continue to come out on top and as the best!

Hillcrest cares about you. Please let us know how we can support you during these difficult times!

Hillcrest is only able to deliver on our mission and goals because of our team members! You are the ones who make a difference and impact lives every day. Thanks for all you do!

Make a difference every day!
Sharyl Ronan, CEO
