Sharyl Ronan, Hillcrest CEO, recently joined the Merrymakers Association’s Board of Directors. With more than 25 years of experience in senior living, Ronan brings a unique set of skills to this role.

The Merrymakers Association is a 501 (c) (3) organization that provides professional musical performances to 177 senior living communities in Nebraska and Iowa, including six Hillcrest communities. Hillcrest Health Services has been partnering with the Merrymakers Association for more than 20 years.

“I am excited to join an organization with a mission that aligns so closely with ours,” Ronan said. “I’ve seen firsthand how much joy Merrymakers performances bring to residents.”

Music is said to have the power to touch seniors on a deeply emotional level as well as provide physical and mental stimulation. By bringing live, onsite performances to many communities, Merrymakers is improving the quality of life for these individuals. As a part of the Board of Directors, Ronan looks forward to enhancing lives in this new role.
