Understanding End-of-Life Symptoms

Join us for a free education opportunity, appetizers and drinks! Participants will gain an understanding of the signs of terminal agitation and effective ways to manage pain and other symptoms at the end of life. The session will clarify myths and truths about hospice medications like morphine and Ativan. It will also cover non-pharmacological approaches to managing symptoms and providing comfort.

Dr. Miller practiced as a full-spectrum rural family physician for 32 years before serving as chief medical officer at Think Whole Person Healthcare. He has delivered over 1,000 infants and supported many patients and families at the end of life. Recently, he earned his Hospice Medical Director Certification, making him one of only seven Nebraska physicians to achieve this recognition in hospice and palliative care.
