Hillcrest PT Receives Creighton Clinical Instructor of Excellence Award
Bellevue, NE – Hillcrest’s Jennifer Bruursema, PT, DPT, GCS, has been awarded the 2020 Clinical Instructor of Excellence Award for physical therapy from Creighton University. This award celebrates her exceptional contributions to student clinical experiences and her ability to provide transformative learning experiences for the Creighton students working at Hillcrest Health & Rehab.
Bruursema joined the Hillcrest team in 2015 and works as a Hillcrest Rehab Services physical therapist at Hillcrest Health & Rehab. She became a board certified geriatric physical therapist in 2019.
“I love teaching and mentoring the next generation of physical therapists…” Bruursema said. “It gives me great joy and purpose.”
Bruursema will receive an award certificate and a first edition copy of Educating Physical Therapists. This award would have been presented at the annual Celebration of Professional Excellence at Creighton University, but this event has been canceled because of campus closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hillcrest has worked with Creighton University for more than 15 years and provides clinical education to physical and occupational therapy students as well as advanced mentoring for post-graduate physical therapy residents and occupational therapy fellows.
Hillcrest Rehab Services provides therapy services to patients in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, home care and telehealth.
