Hillcrest Hospice Medical Directors
Dr. Manley is board-certified in both internal and geriatric medicine and holds certifications for medical direction in long-term and hospice care. She received her medical and masters of philosophy degrees in public health from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Manley completed her residency training and geriatric fellowship at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. She completed an advanced geriatric fellowship at the VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City. Dr. Manley is a member of the American Medical Directors Association, American Geriatrics Society and American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She has done hospice work since 2017 and loves being able to work to help people find joy and peace during all the days of their life.
Dr. Miller was a full-spectrum rural family physician for 32 years and then the chief medical officer at Think WholePerson Healthcare for three years. He has delivered more than 1,000 infants and have been with many patients and their families at the time of their passing. As one of our hospice medical directors he shares his experience and knowledge with team members, patients and families, helping to make the last transition of life as pleasant and peaceful as possible.
Dr. Byers received her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She is board-certified in internal medicine geriatrics. She works with many groups in the Omaha area to promote successful aging and the wellness of aging adults.
Dr. Thomas is a family physician with more than 40 years of experience in medicine. Inspired by the family physicians in his hometown, Dr. Thomas knew from an early age that he wanted to be a doctor and chose to go into family medicine because he enjoys treating individuals of all ages. He is dedicated to providing quality care at every stage of a patient’s life and works with the Hillcrest Hospice team to ensure that the final stages of a patient’s journey happen with tranquility and grace.
