Join the Hillcrest Team in supporting the Alzheimer’s Association at the Sarpy Walk to End Alzheimer’s!

STEP ONE

RSVP through the button below so we know you’ll be joining us! You’ll be asked your t-shirt size so we can get you an “Enhancing Lives” shirt to wear at the walk.

STEP TWO

Register with the Alzheimer’s Association to officially join our walk team by clicking the button below or visiting tinyurl.com/TeamHillcrest2021.

STEP THREE

Join us at Prairie Queen on October 17 for the walk. We will get a Hillcrest group photo around 9:15 a.m., prior to the start of the ceremony.

Walk Day Instructions

  • Arrive between 8:30-9 a.m. in your blue “Enhancing Lives” t-shirt.

  • Stop by the registration table, and make sure to get your Promise Garden Flower.
    -Blue = an individual living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia
    -Purple = an individual who has lost someone to the disease
    -Yellow = an individual who is currently supporting/caring for someone with Alzheimer’s
    -Orange = an individual who supports the cause and the Association’s vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and other dementia

  • Enjoy breakfast, courtesy of Hillcrest, prior to the opening ceremony.

  • Smile for a Hillcrest group photo around 9:15 a.m.

  • Attend the opening ceremony at 9:30 a.m., where you’ll hear from a Hillcrest representative (Hillcrest is the Sarpy Walk’s presenting sponsor).

  • At 10 a.m., walk with your fellow Hillcrest team members around Prairie Queen.
    -Feel free to take photos to share on social media and/or submit to Hillcrest Marketing (estratman@hillcresthealth.com). If posting on social media, consider using hashtags #HillcrestWalks, #Walk2EndAlz and #EndAlz and tag our pages on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn.

Fundraise for the Cause

Shout-out to all of the service line teams who raised money for the Alzheimer’s Association this year through bake sales, basket raffles and other fundraising efforts! Your donations make a difference!
After registering with the Hillcrest Team on the Alzheimer’s Association website, consider fundraising on social media to gather donations for your page. Because you are part of the Hillcrest Walk Team, your donations will be added into the entire team’s contribution total but listed out separately by your name. Your Sarpy Walk to End Alzheimer’s Page Instructions

Once you’ve registered for the Sarpy Walk to End Alzheimer’s you can edit your walk page to make it more personal and help you fundraise more effectively. To do this, go to your page and click on “Edit My Page.”
First, upload a photo to your page. You can also add text to your photo. For example, you can put the hashtags you want people to follow on social media. The Hillcrest team will primarily be using #HillcrestWalks, #Walk2EndAlz and #ENDALZ.
Next, you can edit your story. This is a great way to explain why you are walking in the Sarpy Walk to End Alzheimer’s. You can also use your story to encourage others to participate in this event, follow the designated hashtags and make a donation. Your story should at least include an introduction and your fundraising goal.
Finally, you can share your page. The Alzheimer’s Association will help track your progress and keep you notified when you have donations. This a great tool for your fundraising efforts.
