Hillcrest Health Services Employee Receives an R.N. Scholarship

Jeff Heedum, Health Care Information Systems, and Patrick Fairbanks, The Vetter Foundation, presented the 2013 R.N. Scholarship to Lisa Summers, Memory Support Director at Hillcrest Mable Rose, on behalf of the recipient, Cindy Israel.

Bellevue, NE – Cindy Israel, an 11-year team member of Hillcrest Health Services, received the 2013 R.N. Scholarship from the Nebraska Health Care Foundation (NHCF). The scholarship was presented to Israel at the association’s Spring Convention in Kearney, Neb. on April 23.

“Cindy possesses a passion for working in geriatrics, and she is committed to pursuing her career in nursing,” said Helen Crunk, R.N., Administrator of Hillcrest Mable Rose. “It is an honor for us to have such a dedicated health care professional caring for our residents.”As a past recipient of Nebraska Assisted Living Association’s “Caregiver of the Year” award, Cindy is completing her R.N. degree in May, and plans to use the scholarship to pursue her bachelor’s of science in nursing. She is a resident of La Vista, Neb.
