Available to residents living on the campus, the three-hole putting green features sand traps and other obstacles, such as boulders and the rough, to work on short game strategies. The country gardens will allow residents a place to grow plants and vegetables, and for farm-to-table use among the culinary team.
“Our goal is to provide lifestyle programming for our residents to stay active and live a quality life,” said Lifestyle Director, Heather Holmes. “We are excited to add such a beautiful attraction to our community, and judging by the turnout today, it will be well-utilized!”
Resident Don Feekin cut the ribbon to mark the official opening of the putting green along with Heather Holmes, Tim Irwin, vice president of facility operations, and Todd Aerni, facilities management director.
Resident Marge Boilesen (pictured right) made the inaugural putt on the green.
The coordination of the putting green development was overseen by Lanoha Nurseries.
