Hillcrest Hospice Care in Bellevue, Nebraska

When time is of the essence, providing quality of life is essential. The compassionate team at Hillcrest Hospice Care makes every minute count. Our trained professionals always strive to provide the highest quality of life possible for your loved one while providing you and other family members with counseling and support through this difficult journey. Hospice care was developed to support individuals at home or in care facilities within the last six months of a life-limiting illness.

A care plan is developed by an inter-disciplinary team featuring a physician, registered nurse, social worker, chaplain and others, which focuses the dignity and comfort of the patient instead of curative treatments. (For those who don’t feel they are ready for Hospice or still desire to continue curative treatments, Palliative Care may be an option to manage the pain and symptoms of the patient’s condition.) The care team at Hillcrest Hospice is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to make sure your loved one will always be comfortable. Our chaplains and bereavement counselors always receive rave reviews from our families who consistently tell us that how their lives were enhanced by the experience.

Bereavement counseling and spiritual support, if desired, are provided to families for up to 12 months after their loved one passes. We recently launched the “No One Dies Alone” program to ensure that every one entrusted to our care has the support of a caring friend or loved one at their most critical time. We also offer “CaringBridge”, an online program for families to communicate information and status updates with each other, as well as send special messages to their loved one.
