Hillcrest Hospice Care in Bellevue, Nebraska

Compassionate Hospice & Palliative Care Near Omaha

When time is of the essence, providing quality of life is essential. Hospice care supports individuals at home or in care facilities within the last six months of a life-limiting illness, and the compassionate team at Hillcrest Hospice Care is devoted to making every minute count. Our trained professionals strive to enable your loved one to live life to the fullest potential while providing you and other family members with counseling and support through the entire hospice journey.

Dr. Rebecca Reilly oversees an interdisciplinary team comprised of a registered nurse, social worker, chaplain and others that focuses on ensuring quality of life for your loved one. The team develops a customized care plan centered on the dignity and comfort of the patient instead of curative treatments. For those who don’t feel they are ready for Hospice or still desire to continue curative treatments, Palliative Care may be an option to manage the pain and symptoms of your loved one’s condition. The care team at Hillcrest Hospice is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to make sure your loved one will always be comfortable. Our chaplains and bereavement counselors always receive excellent reviews from our families who consistently tell us how the experience enhanced their lives.

Bereavement counseling and spiritual support are available to families for up to 13 months after their loved one passes. We recently launched the “No One Dies Alone” program to ensure that everyone entrusted to our care has the support of a caring friend or loved one at their most critical time. We also offer “CaringBridge,” an online program for families to communicate information and status updates with each other, as well as send special messages to their loved one. In addition, Community Support Groups can help families and friends cope with the loss of a loved one. Learn more about Our Unique Programs.

Hillcrest Hospice Care is available to patients of all ages in Omaha and surrounding areas, including Cass, Dodge, Douglas, Otoe, Sarpy, Saunders and Washington counties, and is typically covered by Medicare or private insurance. We can provide hospice services at home, in a retirement community, assisted living or long-term care facility. At Hillcrest, our special team focuses on achieving a patient’s goals or “wish list” activities whenever possible, and we would love to share some of these success stories with you.
