Featured Presenter: Dr. Jos Welie
Dr. Jos Welie is a native of The Netherlands where he studied medicine, law, and philosophy. A Fulbright grant brought him to Loyola University of Chicago’s Department of Medical Humanities in 1988. Subsequently, he obtained a doctorate in medical ethics from the Radboud University (Nijmegen, Netherlands). He joined the Center for Health Policy and Ethics at Creighton University (Omaha, Nebraska) in 1997, attaining the rank of professor in 2004. Most of his current teaching occurs in the Center’s on-line graduate program in health care ethics. Research areas include chronic and terminal care, philosophical foundations of bioethics, and Catholic bioethics.
